Bunnychick Haven of Navarre is an award-winning, IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue, boarding, and educational sanctuary in Navarre, Florida. We specialize in rabbit rescue, rehabilitation, bunny boarding, and adoptions, while also offering hands-on educational and therapeutic animal experiences for the community. Our haven is home to gentle chickens, guinea pigs, and a friendly goat who participate in calm interactions promoting connection, emotional well-being, and learning for visitors of all ages. We offer overnight stays, educational animal tours, school and group visits, community events, and private experiences in a peaceful, nature-based setting, serving Navarre, Gulf Breeze, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola & many more.

At Bunnychick Haven of Navarre, our mission is to provide a safe, loving sanctuary for rescued bunnies and chicks while inspiring compassion, education, and connection through hands-on experiences with animals. We are devoted to nurturing both hearts and habitats—creating a haven where animals and people can thrive together.
Mission & Values
Rescue & Rehabilitation: Provide medical care, behavioral support, and lifelong sanctuary options for surrendered or abandoned rabbits, chickens, and similar small animals.
Education & Advocacy: Teach humane animal care practices through on-site tours, school field trips, volunteer training, and accessible audio guides.
Community Engagement: Foster compassion and stewardship by hosting family-friendly adoption events, junior volunteer programs, and themed gatherings (e.g., “Easter Rock Hunt,” petting sessions).
Inclusivity & Accessibility: Ensure all visitors, including those with visual impairments, can fully enjoy and learn at the haven through SSML-narrated audio tours, braille signage, and sensory-friendly accommodations.
Community Partnerships & Outreach
- Collaboration with local schools and therapy programs to offer animal-assisted learning and wellness workshops.
- Working on hosting low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinics in partnership with regional veterinary providers.
- Active presence at county fairs, farmers markets, and community festivals to raise awareness about responsible small-animal care.
Adoption & Foster Placement
We carefully match rescued rabbits with vetted adopters; provide ongoing post-adoption support and resources.
Educational Tours & Workshops (CEU credit in Process)
Guided visits for schools, clubs, and special-needs groups, covering rabbit biology, poultry care principles, correct bunny handling, care tips, and much more.
Special Events
Bunny and Chicken Yoga, seasonal petting gatherings, costume contests, mocktail fundraisers, workshops on various topics, Easter Rock Hunt, Bunny Art & Story Time, Harvest Hares & Volunteer Appreciation, and Hoppy Christmas Festival.
Accessibility Initiatives
(In Process): Audio guides with SSML scripts and nature ambiance, braille welcome cards, and tactile signage for visually impaired guests.
Volunteer Opportunities: (Certification Program in Process)
Junior Volunteer Crew (ages 8 –17): Supervised animal care, educational activities, and community service hours.
Adult & Senior Volunteers: Hands-on rescue work, event support, and administrative assistance.
